The EPHB2 ephb2 (Catalog #MBS607751) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The EphB2 (EPH receptor B2, CAPB, DRT, Ephrin type-B receptor 2, EPHT3, EPTH3, ERK, Hek5, HEK5, MGC87492, PCBC, Receptor protein-tyrosine kinase HEK5, Renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-47, Tyro5, TYRO5, Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor EPH-3, Tyrosine-protein ki reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s EphB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml, 10ul labels 1-5x10e5 cells in a total reaction volume 200ul. Tested using MDA-MB-231 cells.
Immunocytochemistry: 10ug/ml detects EphB2 in MDA-MB-231 cells. Cells were fixed with PBS, 4% paraformaldehyde and blocked with PBS, 10% normal donkey serum, 0.1% Triton X-100, 1% BSA. After blocking, cells were incubated with diluted E3371-04 followed by NL557-coupled anti-rat IgG in the dark. Between each step, cells were washed with PBS, BSA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EPHB2 ephb2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The EPHB2 ephb2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #122889460) (Uniprot Accession #P29323). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

EphB2, also known as Cek5, Nuk, Erk, Qek5, Tyro5, Sek3, Hek5, and Drt, is a 125kD member of the transmembrane Eph receptor tyrosine kinase family. The 90kD extracellular domain (ECD) can be shed from neurons by calcium ionophores or NMDA receptor agonists. EphB2 interaction with Ephrin-A5 promotes axonal growth cone collapse, while its interaction with Ephrin-B ligands is required for inner ear, renal, urorectal, and vascular development. Within the ECD, mouse EphB2 shares 99% aa sequence identity with human and rat EphB2.
Immunogen: NS0-derived, recombinant mouse EphB2 extracellular domain (aa27-551; Accession #P54763). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing EPHB2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as EPHB2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
