The E Coli n/a (Catalog #MBS534321) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The E Coli antibody reacts with Reactive with all O and K antigen serotypes of E.coli. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s E Coli can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA).Optimal conditions to be determined by end user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the E Coli n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

E Coli is a Gram-negative rod-shaped bacterium that is commonly found in the lower intestine of warm-blooded organisms (endotherms). Most E Coli strains are harmless, but some, such as serotype O157:H7, can cause serious food poisoning in humans, and are occasionally responsible for product recalls. The harmless strains are part of the normal flora of the gut, and can benefit their hosts by producing vitamin K2, and by preventing the establishment of pathogenic bacteria within the intestine.
Immunogen: E.coli- mixture of all antigenic serotype. Cross-Reactivity: This antibody recognizes all \'O\' and \'K\' antigenic serotypes of Escherichia coli Antiserum is unabsorbed and does crossreact with related Enterobacteriaceae
Additional Remarks: Can be used as the detection antibody when matched (Catalog # please inquire), clone# M7030621 as the capture antibody.
Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing E Coli are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as E Coli may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
