The DLGAP2 dlgap2 (Catalog #MBS151501) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SAPAP2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SAPAP2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, IF, IHC-P, WB.SAPAP2 antibody can be used for detection of SAPAP2 by Western blot at 0.5-1 ug/mL.
Antibody can also be used for immunohistochemistry starting at 5 ug/mL.
For immunofluorescence start at 20 ug/mL.
Optimal dilutions for each application to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DLGAP2 dlgap2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The DLGAP2 dlgap2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #160395585) (NCBI Accession #Q9P1A6.4) (Uniprot Accession #Q9P1A6). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the SAPAP2 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (SAPAP2 Antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of SAPAP2 in human brain with SAPAP2 antibody at 5 μg/mL.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence of SAPAP2 in Human Brain cells with SAPAP2 antibody at 20 μg/mL.)
SAPAP2 Antibody: SAP90/PSD-95-associated protein 2 (SAPAP2, also known as DLGAP2) is a member of a protein family whose members specifically interact with PSD-95/SAP90, a membrane-associated guanylate kinase localized at postsynaptic density (PSD) in neuronal cells. Like the other SAPAP proteins, SAPAP2 is thought to be an adaptor protein that also interacts with different synaptic scaffolding proteins, cytoskeletal and signaling components, such as focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and proline-rich tyrosine kinase 2 (PYK2). SAPAP2 mRNA is targeted to cell bodies in a similar manner to SAPAP1 and -4, whereas SAPAP3 mRNA is detected mainly in cell bodies.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Immunogen: SAPAP2 antibody was raised against a 16 amino acid synthetic peptide from near the center of human SAPAP2.
The immunogen is located within amino acids 480-530 of SAPAP2
Positive control: MBS151628- Raji Cell Lysate
MBS154323- Human Brain Tissue Slide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing DLGAP2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as DLGAP2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
