The DARC darc (Catalog #MBS603510) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DARC (Duffy Antigen, Fy Glycoprotein, GpFy, Cell Adhesion Molecule 3, CADM3) (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s DARC can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).Immunogen: HEK293 cells transfected with human DARC, Accession # Q16570. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DARC darc for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The DARC darc product has the following accession number(s) (GI #171846251) (NCBI Accession #NP_001116423.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q16570). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the DARC (Duffy Antigen, Fy Glycoprotein, GpFy, Cell Adhesion Molecule 3, CADM3) (PE) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Human red blood cells were stained with MBS603510 (filled histogram) or isotype control (open histogram).)
DARC, also known as Duffy antigen, Fy glycoprotein, and CD234, is a 7TM non-signaling chemokine receptor that is expressed on venular endothelial cells and erythrocytes. DARC binds and mediates the internalization of several inflammatory CC and CXC chemokines. It transports chemokines to the lumenal face of venular endothelium to promote the extravasation of leukocytes to sites of inflammation. DARC polymorphisms are important in blood transfusion compatibility and determine the susceptibility of erythrocytes to Plasmodium vivax infection.
Immunogen: HEK293 cells transfected with human DARC, Accession # CAA59770. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing DARC are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as DARC may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Bone, Brain, Eye, Heart, Kidney, Lung, Pharynx, Placenta, Uterus, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Acute Lung Injury, Carcinoma, Cardiovascular Diseases, Death, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Malaria, Necrosis, Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to DARC (Duffy Antigen, Fy Glycoprotein, GpFy, Cell Adhesion Molecule 3, CADM3) (PE).
