The CTSL ctsl (Catalog #MBS245445) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Monoclonal [clone 2H7] (IgG2b,k) to Human CTSL / Cathepsin L reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CTSL / Cathepsin L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).
ELISA, IHC-P (5 ug/ml), WB (1:1000 - 1:2000)
Usage: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary anti.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CTSL ctsl for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The CTSL ctsl product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4503155) (NCBI Accession #NP_001903.1) (Uniprot Accession #P07711). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Mouse Monoclonal [clone 2H7] (IgG2b,k) to Human CTSL / Cathepsin L with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti-CTSL1 / Cathepsin L antibody IHC of human liver. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 5 ug/ml.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) CTSL.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti-CTSL1 / Cathepsin L antibody IHC of human prostate. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 5 ug/ml.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) CTSL.

Western Blot (WB) (The recombinant fusion proteins (Cathepsin B, D, K, L and S), and cell lysates of A549 (20 ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to NC membrane and probed with anti-human Cathepsin L (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.)
Western Blot (WB) CTSL.

Cathepsin L (CTSL1) is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase that plays a major role in intracellular protein catabolism. Its substrates include collagen and elastin, as well as alpha-1 protease inhibitor, a major controlling element of neutrophil elastase activity. Cathepsin L has been implicated in several pathologic processes, including myofibril necrosis in myopathies and in myocardial ischemia, and in the renal tubular response to proteinuria.

Target Species: Human
Immunogen Description: Recombinant human Cathepsin L (114-333aa) purified from E Coli. Immunogen Type: Recombinant protein
Immunogen: CTSL / Cathepsin L antibody was raised against recombinant human Cathepsin L (114-333aa) purified from E Coli.
Antigen Modification: aa114-333. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CTSL are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CTSL may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
