The CRP crp (Catalog #MBS390035) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s CRP (C-Reactive Protein) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunoblot (IB).Freeze-dried powder. Dilution for Immunoblot & ELISA range: 1,000 to 4,000.
Use: The antibody can be used for detection of the existence of C-reactive protein, immunoassays and immunoblots. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CRP crp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CRP crp product has the following accession number(s) (GI #117486) (NCBI Accession #P02741.1) (Uniprot Accession #P02741). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Human C-reactive protein (CRP) is an acute phase protein produced by the liver. It is a member of the pentraxin family of proteins with five identical nonglycosylated subunits of 206 amino acids each (m.w. 24 kDa). Among other markers of inflammation, CRP has been showed the strongest association with cardiovascular events. Clinical studies demonstrated that coronary mortality among patients with unstable angina and elevated CRP is significantly higher comparing with the patients without elevated CRP. It is an important biomarker for detecting individuals at high risk of plaque rapture.
Source Note: Polyclonal antibody purified by C-reactive Protein (CRP)-Sepharose affinity column, and conjugated with HRP. Preservative: 50 mM PBS, 0.1M NaCl, pH 7.4 and 0.01% Thimersol.
Stabilizer: 10 mg / ml Bovine Serum Albumin. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CRP are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CRP may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Bladder, Blood, Brain, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Pancreas, Placenta tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. CRP also interacts with the following gene(s): CFH, FCGR2A, FN1, ICAM1, IL6, LEP, SERPINE1, STAT3. Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular Diseases, Heart Diseases, Infection, Inflammation, Metabolic Diseases, Myocardial Ischemia, Necrosis, Pain are some of the diseases may be linked to HRP-conjugated Goat Anti-Human CRP (C-Reactive Protein).
