The CRP crp (Catalog #MBS140238) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s C-Reactive Protein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).CRP antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:1,000 ~ 2,000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CRP crp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CRP crp product has the following accession number(s) (GI #55770842) (NCBI Accession #NP_000558.2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Introduction: CRP is an acute phase protein that correlates with inflammatory disease and is synthesized by hepatocytes during the acute phase response by certain cytokines (IL-1 and TNF Alpha and Beta). CRP levels increase dramatically (up to 1,000 fold) and serve as an useful marker of inflammation in such conditions as bacterial infection, rheumatoid arthritis, viral infections, transplantation rejection, meningitis, myocardial infarction, septicemia, osteomyelitis and others. CRP is also highly correlated to Serum Amyloid A levels.
Immunogen: Anti-human CRP mAb is derived from hybridization of mouse SP2/O myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human CRP amino acids 19-224 purified from E Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CRP are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CRP may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. CRP also interacts with the following gene(s): CFH, FCGR2A, FN1, ICAM1, IL6, LEP, SERPINE1, STAT3. Liver, Pancreas tissues are correlated with this protein. Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular Diseases, Heart Diseases, Infection, Inflammation, Metabolic Diseases, Myocardial Ischemia, Necrosis, Pain are some of the diseases may be linked to Mouse Anti Human C-Reactive Protein.
