Optimal dilutions should be determined by end user. . Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CHRNA1 chrna1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CHRNA1 chrna1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #113071) (NCBI Accession #P02708.2) (Uniprot Accession #P02708). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Background: Aquaporin 5, also known as AQP5, is a water channel protein. The aquaporins(AQPs) are a family of more than 10 homologous watertransporting proteins expressed in many mammalian epithelia and endothelia. At least five AQPs are expressed in the eye: AQP0(MIP) in lensfiber, AQP1 in cornea endothelium, ciliary and lens epithelia and trabecular meshwork, AQP3 in conjunctiva, AQP4 in ciliary epithelium andretinal Mller cells, and AQP5 in corneal and lacrimal gland epithelia. Among the seven human aquaporins cloned to date(AQPs 0-6), genesencoding the four most closely related aquaporins(AQP0, AQP2, AQP5, and AQP6) have been mapped to chromosome band 12q13, suggestingan aquaporin family gene cluster at this locus. Aquaporin 5 plays a role in the generation of saliva, tears and pulmonary secretions.
Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Aquaporin-5(AQP5) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P in Mouse;Rat.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminal of mouse AQP5(246-265aa EEDWEDHREERKKTIELTAH), identical to the related rat sequences. Reconstitution: 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CHRNA1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CHRNA1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
