The CD80 n/a (Catalog #MBS520456) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Mouse CD80, PE (Clone RMMP-1) (rat IgG2a) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD80 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD80 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The CD80 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #18072037) (NCBI Accession #AAL58443.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Testing Data
MBS520456 reacts with the murine CD80 (B7-1) molecule. This member of the Ig superfamily, along with CD86 (B7-2), participates in T cell costimulation via interactions with CD28 and CTLA-4. CD80 is constituitively expressed on dendritic cells, monocytes, and peritoneal macrophages; and it is inducible on B cells by various means, including activation by LPS, IL-4, and the cross-linking of surface Ig. Expression of CD80 is greatly enhanced on splenic B cells following activation by LPS, with peak expression occurring between 48 and 72 hours. It has been reported that activation of purified B cells with LPS can induce CD80 expression in as few as 18 hours. Applications include: flow cytometry.
Presentation: 50 ug or 300ug of R-PE conjugated Ig buffered in PBS, 0.1% NaN3 and EIA grade BSA as a stabilizing protein to bring total protein concentration to 4-5 mg/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD80 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD80 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
