The CD61 itgb3 (Catalog #MBS212674) is an Antibody produced from Hamster and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HAMSTER ANTI MOUSE CD61 reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD61 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunoprecipitation (IP).Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 106 cells in 100ul.
Flow Cytometry: Minimum Dilution: 1/10; Maximum Dilution: 1/25. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD61 itgb3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD61 itgb3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #160358856) (NCBI Accession #NP_058060.2) (Uniprot Accession #O54890). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Hamster anti Mouse CD61 antibody, clone HM beta 3-1 recognizes the murine integrin beta 3 subunit (CD61), a 90kDa a type I membrane protein, which is expressed primarily on megakaryocytes, platelets, monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes and endothelial cells. CD61 associates with either the alpha IIb integrin (CD41) or the alpha V integrin (CD51) to form the platelet glycoprotein complex IIb/IIIa and the vitronectin receptor (VNR) respectively. The heterodimers formed with CD61 are receptor for a variety of ligands including fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrands factor (vWF), vitronectin and thrombospondin. Hamster anti Mouse CD61 antibody, clone HM beta 3-1 is reported to partially inhibit the binding of CD61 to fibronectin (Yasuda et al. 1995).
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.09% Sodium Azide
Preparation: Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein G from tissue culture supernatant. Immunogen: Mouse alpha 5 beta 3 protein purified from the mouse hybridoma 2B4
Fusion Partners: Spleen cells from immunised Armenian hamsters were fused with cells of the P3U1 mouse myeloma cell line.
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Target Species: Mouse. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD61 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD61 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
