The CD56 cd56 (Catalog #MBS531977) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD56 antibody (PE) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD56 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD56 cd56 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The CD56 cd56 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #158524860) (NCBI Accession #ABW71276.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Mouse monoclonal CD56 antibody (PE).

CD56 cd56

Biological Significance: CD56, an isoform of the neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM), is a 220 kDa heavily glycosylated type I transmembrane protein. On human hematopoietic cells, its expression is restricted to NK cells and a subpopulation of T lymphocytes (known as large granular lymphocytes) which demonstrate natural killer activity. While it is clear that NCAM plays a role in homotypic adhesion of neuronal cells, the significance of CD56 expression on NK cells is not clear and remains controversial. Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Tag/Conjugate: PE
Immunogen: CD56 antibody (PE) was raised in mouse using human CD56 as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD56 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD56 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
