Introduction: The T1/Leu1/CD5 molecule, a human T-cell surface glycoprotein of relative molecular mass (Mr) 67,000, has been implicated in the proliferative response of activated T cells and in T-cell helper function. Ly1 is the murine homolog. (In the mouse, lymphocyte surface antigens that are markers for function have been identified. Allelic forms are known and chromosomal assignment of the loci has been achieved. Ly1 is on mouse chromosome 19. Ly2 and Ly3 are on mouse chromosome 6. Ly5 is on mouse chromosome 1. Ly6 is on mouse chromosome 15.
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with of H20. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use.
Immunogen: Human PBL.
Antibody Properties: Staining antibody. For staining, use 10 ul/1,000,000 cells.
Available Conjugates: This antibody is only available in purified form. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Hyperplasia, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Leukemia, Lymphocytic, Chronic, B-Cell, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Lymphoma, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to Mouse Anti Human CD5. Blood, Brain, Connective Tissue, Eye, Heart, Muscle, Pancreas, Spleen, Thymus, Uterus tissues are correlated with this protein. CD5 also interacts with the following gene(s): CD19, CD4, CD40, CD72, CD79A, FYN, IL4, IL6, LCK, PTPN6.
