The CD4 cd4 (Catalog #MBS532220) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD4 antibody (PE-CY5.5) reacts with Murine CD4 and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD4 cd4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The CD4 cd4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #24659577) (NCBI Accession #AAH39137.1) (Uniprot Accession #P06332). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Rat monoclonal CD4 antibody (PE-CY5.5).
Biological Significance: CD4 (cluster of differentiation 4) is a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of T helper cells, regulatory T cells, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It was discovered in the late 1970s and was originally known as leu-3 and T4 (after the OKT4 monoclonal antibody that reacted with it) before being named CD4 in 1984. In humans, the CD4 protein is encoded by the CD4 gene. Biohazard Information: This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
Tag/Conjugate: PE-CY5.5
Immunogen: CD4 antibody (PE-CY5.5) was raised in rat using cloned murine CTL line V4 as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain, Mammary Gland, Mixed, Pineal Gland, Salivary Gland, Spleen, Thymus, Uncharacterized Tissue tissues are correlated with this protein. CD4 also interacts with the following gene(s): Cd247, Cd3d, Cd3e, Cd3g, Cd8a, H2-Ab1, Lat, Lck, Ptprc, Zap70. AIDS-Related Opportunistic Infections, Carcinoma, Cardiovascular Diseases, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Experimental, Pneumonia, Vascular Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to CD4 antibody (PE-CY5.5).
