|The CD273 pdcd1lg2 (Catalog #MBS223722) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The RABBIT ANTI HUMAN CD273 reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD273 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Paraffin*, Western Blot (WB).
Western Blot: This item detects a band of approximately 30kDa in Raji cell lysate
Immunohistology - Paraffin: Maximum Dilution: 2.5ug/ml; Application Note: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.5; Maximum Dilution: 1.0ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD273 pdcd1lg2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD273 pdcd1lg2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #190014605) (NCBI Accession #NP_079515.2) (Uniprot Accession #Q9BQ51). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the RABBIT ANTI HUMAN CD273 with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data #1 (Western blot analysis of whole cell lysate from Raji, human Burkitt\'s lymphoma cells probed with Rabbit anti Human CD273 (MBS223722) at 0.5(A), 1(B) and 2(C) ug/ml)
Testing Data #2 (Immunohistochemical staining of mouse brain with Rabbit anti Human CD273 (MBS223722))
MBS223722 detects human CD273, also known as B7-DC and Programmed Death Ligand 2 (PD-L2). CD273 is a single-pass type 1 membrane protein belonging to the immunoglobulin receptor superfamily, and is a ligand for CD279 (PD-1). CD273 is highly expressed in the tissues of the heart, liver, lung, placenta and pancreas. It is expressed in dendritic cells, and its expression can be induced on inflammatory macrophages when activated by interleukin 4 or Th2 cells. CD273 functions to inhibit T-cell proliferation by blocking cell cycle progression and cytokine production, and is particularly important in the maintenance of self tolerance.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.02% Sodium Azide (NaN3). Immunogen: A peptide corresponding to a 16 amino acid sequence from near the centre of Human CD273.
Histology Positive Control Tissue: Mouse brain tissue
Buffer Solution: Phosphate buffered saline
Antiserum Preparation: Antisera to Human CD273 were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD273 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD273 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
