The CASP3 casp3 (Catalog #MBS422820) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-Caspase 3 Antibody reacts with Tested: Human, Mouse, RatExpected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Caspase 3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF).
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.
Western blot: Approx 32kDa band observed in lysates of cell line MOLT4 and in Mouse Liver lysates (calculated MW of 31.6kDa according to Human NP_004337.2 and 31.4kDa according to Mouse NP_033940.1, NP_001271338.1). An additional band of 65kDa was also consistently observed in MOLT4 and was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. Recommended concentration: 0.5-1ug/ml. Primary incubation 1 hour at room temperature.
Immunofluorescence: Strong expression of the protein seen in the cytoplasm of U251 cells. Recommended concentration: 10ug/ml.
Important Comments: This antibody is expected to recognise both reported isoforms (NP_004337.2 and NP_116786.1). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CASP3 casp3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CASP3 casp3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #14790119) (NCBI Accession #NP_004337.2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Goat anti-Caspase 3 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (MBS422820 (1ug/ml) staining of MOLT4 lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.)
Western Blot (WB) (MBS422820 (0.5ug/ml) staining of Mouse Liver lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Detected by chemiluminescence.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (MBS422820 Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed U251 cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Primary incubation 1hr (10ug/ml) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2ug/ml), showing cytoplasmic staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10ug/ml) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2ug/ml).)
Immunogen: Peptide with sequence C-RDVSKEDHSKRS, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_004337.2; NP_116786.1. Note: This antibody is expected to recognize both reported isoforms (NP_004337.2 and NP_116786.1).
Santa Cruz Alternative: Potential replacement for Santa Cruz Biotechnology antibody catalog# sc-1225. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CASP3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CASP3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
