The C3d c3 (Catalog #MBS212939) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s C3d can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistology Frozen, ELISA (EIA), Flow cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the C3d c3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The C3d c3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #115298678) (NCBI Accession #NP_000055.2) (Uniprot Accession #P01024). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

MBS212939 is specific for human complement component 3d (C3d) neoantigen, a 33kDa polypeptide fragment generated over the course of complement activation in which where complement 3 (C3) convertases cleave C3 to C3b, which is further degraded into iC3b and C3dg/C3d. C3d is involved in the regulation of many aspects of the immune response, including antigen processing and presentation. The C3d/antigen complex mediates B cell activation by simultaneously binding antigen-specific surface bound immunoglobulin and CD21, lowering the complement activation threshold. C3 is crucial in the induction of tolerance generated when an antigen is introduced into immunoprivileged sites and this is exploited by pathogens and cancer cells to evade the immune system by inhibiting complement activation.
Perservative Stabilisers: 0.1% Sodium Azide (NaN3)
Preparation: Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein A. Immunogen: Purified human C3d (neoantigen)
Histology Positive Control Tissue: Kidney from post streptococcal glomerulonephritis patients

Target Species: Human. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing C3d are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as C3d may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. C3d also interacts with the following gene(s): C3AR1, CD46, CFD, CFH, CFI, CR1, CR2, ITGAM, ITGAX. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Pain, Proteinuria are some of the diseases may be linked to MOUSE ANTI HUMAN C3d. Blood, Bone, Brain, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Nerve, Skin, Spinal Cord tissues are correlated with this protein.
