|The c-erbB2 n/a (Catalog #MBS600898) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The c-erbB2 (HER-2, neu Receptor) (BSA & Azide Free) reacts with Human, Th and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s c-erbB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP).
Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and studies on the effects on tumor growth (~40% stimulatory) as well as, stimulating (10-fold) Tyrosine Kinase Activity.,
Dilution: Immunoprecipitation (Native and denatured): 2ug/mg protein (Use Protein G). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the c-erbB2 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The c-erbB2 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #37926854) (NCBI Accession #1MVU_P). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

c-erbB-2, second member (c-erbB-2/HER-2/neu) of the c-erbB family is a receptor tyrosine kinase. It exhibits extracellular domains with two cysteine-rich sequences, and a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain flanked by large hydrophilic tails that carry several tyrosine autophosphorylation sites. Approximately 25% of primary breast and ovarian tumors were found to overexpress the protein.
Immunogen: Intact SKBR-3 breast cancer cells. Epitope: Extracellular domain Cellular Localization: Cell membrane. MW of Antigen: 185kD
Cellular Localization: Cell membrane. MW of Antigen: 185kD. Positive Control: SKBR-3 cells. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing c-erbB2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as c-erbB2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
