The BTK btk (Catalog #MBS150593) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BTK Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s BTK can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF).
BTK antibody can be used for the detection of BTK by Western blot at 0.5 to 2 mug/mL. Antibody can also be used for immunocytochemistry starting at 10 mug/mL. For immunofluorescence start at 10 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BTK btk for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The BTK btk product has the following accession number(s) (GI #547759) (NCBI Accession #Q06187.3) (Uniprot Accession #Q06187). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the BTK Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of BTK in U937 cell lysate with BTK antibody at (A) 0.5, (B) 1, and (C) 2 μg/mL.)
Western Blot (WB) BTK.

Immunocytochemistry (ICC) (Immunocytochemistry of BTK in Daudi cells with BTK antibody at 10 μg/mL.)
Immunocytochemistry (ICC) BTK.

Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence of BTK in Daudi cells with BTK antibody at 10 μg/mL.)
Immunofluorescence (IF) BTK.

BTK Antibody: Bruton\'s tyrosine kinase (BTK) was initially identified as a member of the src family for protein-tyrosine kinases that was involved in X-linked agamma-globulinaemia, and has since been shown to involved in a number of signaling pathways in hemapoietic lineage. It has recently been shown to interact with members of the toll-like receptor (TLR) family such as TLR4, 6, 8, and 9. The TLRs are critical molecules in both the innate and adaptive immunity and can recognize diverse microbial pathogens. BTK has also been shown to interact with key proteins involved in TLR4 signal transduction such as MyD88, TIRAP, and IRAK, but not TRAF-6, suggesting that BTK is involved in lipopolysaccharide signal transduction.

Conjugate: Unconjugated
Immunogen: BTK antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to 16 amino acids near the amino-terminus of human BTK.
Buffer: BTK Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing BTK are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as BTK may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
