The BNP n/a (Catalog #MBS352042) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s Brain Natriuretic Peptide can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemical Staining.Immunocytochemical Staining: This antiserum has been found to stain 3% buffered paraformaldehyde fixed rat brain sections using an indirect immunofluorescent staining procedures at a dilution of 1:1000. Please note that higher dilutions may also yield positive results. We recommend performing a small titration experiment starting at a dilution of 1:1000 in order to determine the antibody dilution that gives the best specific staining with little or no background in your specific procedure. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BNP n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The BNP n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4433127) (NCBI Accession #BAA04067.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

The antiserum was raised in a rabbit which was immunized with brain natriuretic polypeptide covalently attached onto a carrier protein. The antiserum has been characterized by RIA. ELISA. and cell staining techniques. This antiserum is specific for BNP and is suitable for use in immunocytochemical techniques. Dilute the lyophilized antiserum with 0.1 ml of 10 mg/ml BSA is PBS for the equivalent of whole antiserum. or with additional buffer for more dilute antiserum.
In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing BNP are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as BNP may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. BNP also interacts with the following gene(s): FLNA. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Ear, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Muscle, Umbilical Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
