|The BCL11A bcl11a (Catalog #MBS245742) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Monoclonal [clone 3D9] (IgG2a,k) to Human BCL11A reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s BCL11A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).
ELISA, IHC-P (5 ug/ml), WB (1:500 - 1:1000)
Usage: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections. Western Blot using transfected cell lysates and the recombinant protein used as the immunogen. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BCL11A bcl11a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The BCL11A bcl11a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #20336305) (NCBI Accession #NP_075044.2) (Uniprot Accession #Q9H165). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Mouse Monoclonal [clone 3D9] (IgG2a,k) to Human BCL11A with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti-BCL11A antibody IHC of human heart. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 5 ug/ml.)
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot of BCL11A expression in transfected 293T cell line by BCL11A monoclonal antibody, clone 3D9.)
This gene encodes a C2H2 type zinc-finger protein by its similarity to the mouse Bcl11a/Evi9 protein. The corresponding mouse gene is a common site of retroviral integration in myeloid leukemia, and may function as a leukemia disease gene, in part, through its interaction with BCL6. During hematopoietic cell differentiation, this gene is down-regulated. It is possibly involved in lymphoma pathogenesis since translocations associated with B-cell malignancies also deregulates its expression.
Target Species: Human
Immunogen Description: BCL11A (NP_060484, 1 a.a. ~ 89 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa. Immunogen: BCL11A antibody was raised against bCL11A (NP_060484, 1 a.a. ~ 89 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing BCL11A are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as BCL11A may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
