|The ARFIP2 arfip2 (Catalog #MBS628787) is an Antibody produced from Chicken and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ADP Ribosylation Factor Interacting Protein 2 (ARFIP2, Arfaptin 2, Partner of RAC1, POR1) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ADP Ribosylation Factor Interacting Protein 2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARFIP2 arfip2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ARFIP2 arfip2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #12653247) (Uniprot Accession #P53365). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Arfaptin 2, or ADP-ribosylation factor interacting protein 2, is a Rac1 binding protein necessary for Rac-mediated actin polymerization and the subsequent formation of membrane ruffles and lamellipodia.1 Arfaptin-2 has been shown to be involved in interactions between the Rac and ARF signaling pathways.2 Arfaptin 2 also regulates the aggregation of mutant Huntingtin protein by possibly impairing proteasome function. Expression of Arfaptin 2 was shown to be increased at sites of neurodegeneration. Mutant Huntingtin protein is characteristic of Huntington\'s disease, an inherited neurodegenerative disorder.3.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa100-341. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ARFIP2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ARFIP2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Nerve tissues are correlated with this protein. Neurodegenerative Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to ADP Ribosylation Factor Interacting Protein 2 (ARFIP2, Arfaptin 2, Partner of RAC1, POR1). ARFIP2 also interacts with the following gene(s): ARF1, ARF3, ARF5, ARF6, RAC1. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
