|The anti-Chicken IgM n/a (Catalog #MBS560381) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Affinity Purified Goat anti-Chicken IgM reacts with Chicken and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet.
The affinity purified antibodies react only with IgM by immunodiffusion and IEP techniques. This product is suitable for ELISA and Blotting applications. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the anti-Chicken IgM n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The anti-Chicken IgM n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #685030). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Goats were immunized with highly purified chicken IgM. The resulting antiserum was passed over an antigen containing immunoabsorbant from which the anti-chicken IgM was immunoaffinity purified.
Buffer: Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.2. Preservative: 0.1% sodium azide
Procedure: Goats were immunized with highly purified chicken IgM isolated from normal chicken serum. The resulting anti IgM was solid phase absorbed to make it mu chain specific and the anti mu was immunoaffinity purified off a chicken IgM immunoabsorbant. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing anti-Chicken IgM are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as anti-Chicken IgM may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. anti-Chicken IgM also interacts with the following gene(s): FLNA. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Ear, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Muscle, Umbilical Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
