The ADD1 add1 (Catalog #MBS126287) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ADD1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ADD1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).WB: 1:500 - 1:2000
IHC: 1:50 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ADD1 add1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ADD1 add1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #12644231) (NCBI Accession #P35611.2) (Uniprot Accession #P35611). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ADD1 Polyclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using ADD1 antibody at 1:500 dilution.
Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (MBS128200) at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.)
Adducins are a family of cytoskeleton proteins encoded by three genes (alpha, beta, gamma). Adducin is a heterodimeric protein that consists of related subunits, which are produced from distinct genes but share a similar structure. Alpha- and beta-adducin include a protease-resistant N-terminal region and a protease-sensitive, hydrophilic C-terminal region. Alpha- and gamma-adducins are ubiquitously expressed. In contrast, beta-adducin is expressed at high levels in brain and hematopoietic tissues. Adducin binds with high affinity to Ca(2+)/calmodulin and is a substrate for protein kinases An and C. Alternative splicing results in multiple variants encoding distinct isoforms; however, not all variants have been fully described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].
Species: Human
Immunogen: Recombinant Protein. Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human ADD1
Calculated Molecular Weight: 44kDa. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ADD1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ADD1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. ADD1 also interacts with the following gene(s): ADD2. Brain Diseases, Congenital Abnormalities, Fatty Liver, Heart Diseases, Hemorrhage, Hypertension, Hypertrophy, Kidney Diseases, Nervous System Diseases, Proteinuria are some of the diseases may be linked to ADD1 Polyclonal Antibody.
