The ACTA2 acta2 (Catalog #MBS633240) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Actin, alpha, Smooth Muscle reacts with Bovine, Chicken, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Actin, alpha, Smooth Muscle can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF).Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:800 for 20 minutes at RT. No special pretreatment is required for the immunohistochemical staining of formalin/paraffin tissues. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACTA2 acta2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ACTA2 acta2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #119570540) (NCBI Accession #EAW50155.1) (Uniprot Accession #P62736). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Actin, alpha, Smooth Muscle with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human leiomyoma using MBS633240 followed by peroxidase-conjugate and DAB chromogen. Note cytoplasmic staining of smooth muscle cells.)
Actin is a highly conserved skeletal protein which is in both muscle and nonmuscle cells. The mammalian tissues express at least 6 unique actin isotypes. Alpha isotype is found exclusively in muscle cells including alpha-skeletal, alpha-cardiac, and alpha and gamma smooth muscle actin. Beta and gamma nonmuscular actins have been observed in non-muscle cells.
Immunogen: N-terminal decapeptide of the alpha smooth muscle isoform of Actin; acetylated at the N-terminus. Epitope: Acetyl group and the first 4 amino acids on the N-terminal end of the peptide chain of alpha-smooth Actin. Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic. Positive Control: Smooth muscle or leiomyosarcoma. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ACTA2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ACTA2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Aortic Aneurysm, Thoracic, Breast Neoplasms, Disease Models, Animal, Fibrosis, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Cirrhosis, Liver Diseases, Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to Actin, alpha, Smooth Muscle.
