The Acetyl CoA Carboxylase n/a (Catalog #MBS616976) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (ACC1) reacts with Bovine, Human, Monkey, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Acetyl CoA Carboxylase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF).Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence.
Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:25
Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50. Antigen retrieval with citrate buffer is recommended.
Immunoprecipitation: 1:50
Immunofluorescence (IF-IC): 1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Acetyl CoA Carboxylase n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Acetyl CoA Carboxylase n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #7619891). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (ACC1) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of extracts from HEK293, HeLa, A431, NIH/3T3, L929, C6, H-4-II-E and BAEC cells, using MBS616976 Acetyl CoA Carboxylase Antibody.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow cytometric analysis of untreated HeLa cells, using MBS616976 cetyl CoA Carboxylase Antibody (right) compared to a nonspecific negative control antibody (left).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma, using MBS616976 in the presence of control peptide (left) or AcetylCoA Carboxylase Blocking Peptide (right).)
Testing Data (Confocal microscopic images of A431 cells showing cytoplasmic stain with MBS616976 (A) compared to an isotype control (B).)
Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) catalyzes the pivotal step of the fatty acid synthesis pathway. The 265kD ACCa is the predominant isoform in liver, adipocytes and mammary gland, while the 280kD ACCb is the major isoform in skeletal muscle and heart. Phosphorylation by AMPK at Ser79, or by PKA at Ser1200, inhibits the enzymatic activity of ACC. ACC is a potential target of anti-obesity drugs.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Lys557 of human acetyl CoA carboxylase a1 conjugated to KLH. MW of Antigen: 280kD. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Acetyl CoA Carboxylase are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Acetyl CoA Carboxylase may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
